Festival Dates: July 17-27, 2025
Welcome from the Festival Directors!
We are thrilled to announce the inaugural Louise E. Addicott Summer Chamber Music Festival taking place at Indiana University South Bend! Established in the loving memory of Georgina Joshi and Louise E. Addicott, the festival will welcome two dozen young participants to a 10-day chamber music intensive. In addition to receiving daily coachings from the members of the Euclid Quartet, students will work with esteemed guest artists: the Dover Quartet and the Calidore String Quartet. Participants will enjoy an immersive experience on campus at Indiana University South Bend, including rehearsals and coachings, room and board in university dormitory housing, and performances in the state-of-the-art Louise E. Addicott and Yatish J. Joshi Performance Hall. Thanks to the generosity of Joan and Yatish Joshi, all admitted students will receive a full scholarship covering tuition and room and board. In addition, participants will have a wide range of performance opportunities at the St. Joseph County Public Library, Civil Rights Heritage Center, and more. Members of the Michiana community will be able to attend performances and masterclasses by some of the world’s leading artists and witness the next generation of young stars in action here in South Bend.
